Oromia-Ethiopia: Elite Oromian Athletes, Kenenisa Bekele and Tirunesh Dibaba, Banned

The Atse Meles Zenawi government has banned elite Oromian Athletes, Kenenisa Bekele, Sileshi Sihine, Tirunesh Dibaba and others, from local and international competitions on frivolous grounds. Below is the news broadcast from the state-controlled Ethiopian Television (ETV).

    What is Meles’ final goal? He planned to confiscate the awards they have won, the money they have been granted, labelling them “Mussinaa seriwooch, or OLF deggaafiwoch”. This is the fate of any Oromo who has been doing something good for Ethiopia. These is the final reward these Oromo athletes haven been granted by imperialist Ethiopia for their best services at national and international levels.
